Salon Privé London opens to guests at Royal Hospital Chelsea on Thursday 20 April and organisers have revealed the full list of highlights and attractions visitors can expect at the second running of the season-opening spectacle. Salon Privé London will showcase a glittering collection of new automobiles, including multiple UK debuts, plus more than 60 of the world’s finest collectors’ cars in the Concours de Vente central attraction, and finery from leading global and British luxury brands.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended will be making its UK public debut at Salon Privé London 2023 as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars returns to what it describes as one of the UK’s most exclusive concours events. The Phantom Extended will be presented in Belladonna Purple, and the super-luxury motor car company will also show a Rolls-Royce Ghost in Sagano Green. Both are described as “remarkable commissions”.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Regional Director Boris Weletzky said: “I am looking forward to meeting our esteemed clients, dealers, friends of the marque and media at this year’s gathering. Their passion for unique luxury experiences and magnificent creations is stronger than ever, as demonstrated by these vivacious and spirited commissions.”
The new Maserati GranTurismo will make its UK public debut at Salon Privé London. It is being launched in two versions, both using a sonorous three-litre V6 Nettuno twin-turbo engine; the Modena offers 490bhp and the Trofeo produces 550bhp. Salon Privé London guests will also be able to learn about the new Maserati GranTurismo Folgore, a pure electric version that offers a range of over 265 miles.
Continuing the electrification theme, the new McLaren Artura hybrid supercar will be a star attraction; two versions will be on display, to show the custom configurations available for McLaren’s new high-performance hybrid. A stunning McLaren Senna will be displayed as well – named after Ayrton Senna with the blessing of the Brazilian legend’s family, it delivers the fastest McLaren lap times outside F1.
In total, more than 20 automotive brands will showcase their latest models at Salon Privé London. The Ferrari Roma Spider is making its UK debut on Friday and Saturday, as will the thrilling Wiesmann Project Thunderball electric roadster. Theon Design will give its latest creation, ITA001, its public debut ahead of shipping to Italy for its new owner. Everrati will display the world’s first electric redefined Porsche Wide Body 911 964 alongside its flagship electric supercar, the GT40.
The Polestar 3 premium electric SUV will make its UK debut, as will the 2023 model year Genesis GV60, while the wild all-terrain Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato and all-electric Abarth 500e Scorpionissima show the full range of modern Italian automotive exotica.
A headline attraction is an exclusive ‘holy trinity’ of three hypercars with more than 1,000bhp – representing all three types of powertrain. The electric Rimac Nevera produces 1,941bhp, the hybrid Delage D12 produces 1,100bhp and the ICE petrol-powered Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster produces a furious 1,817bhp. All three cars are making their Salon Privé London debut.

Salon Privé London Concours de Vente
A centrepiece attraction of Salon Privé London is the unique Concours de Vente, which celebrates more than 60 of the world’s finest collectable classics – and unlike other Concours events, every one of them will be for sale. The Grand Tour’s Richard Hammond will be a star attraction – he is attending with his The Smallest Cog restoration business. The company will be showcasing a Chapron-bodied Delahaye, which it has recently restored to its original colours as commissioned by famous racer Louis Chiron.
“We’re delighted to have the chance to show off these colours in front of a discerning audience at the fast-becoming-legendary Salon Privé London in 2023,” said Richard Hammond.
A sensational 1-of-52 Jaguar XJR-15 as raced by Juan Manuel Fangio II will be another Concours de Vente showcase; the car has been hidden in a private collection for more than a decade. Both Ferrari F40 and F50 will be on display – the former one of just 78 UK-supplied cars – as will a 1966 Maserati Sebring actor Peter Sellers bought for his son. A 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400, only the 23rd Miura ever built, will be shown, as will one of just 123 Aston Martin DB5 Convertibles and an even rarer AC Cobra Lightweight.

Luxury at Salon Privé London: more than just cars
Top luxury brands are another highlight of Salon Privé London. Montblanc is to give the new 8000 Capsule collection its UK debut, after being revealed just weeks earlier in Geneva. The new Montblanc 8000 Capsule collection joins the Maison’s series of ‘Zero Oxygen’ timepieces and is a tribute to the world’s 14 highest peaks and the alpinist who scaled them. A new timepiece in the Montblanc 1958 Iced Sea Collection will also be shown.
Famous family-run jewellery house Boodles, established in 1798, will be epitomising the ‘best of British’ at Salon Privé London. Guests are encouraged to try on the famous Raindance ring, which is in the V&A Museum as an icon of British jewellery design. Friday at Salon Privé London is Boodles Ladies’ Day and the jeweller has announced the price for the Boodles Best Hat Competition will be a classic Boodles diamond set pendant, with £2,600.
New life has been breathed into Norton Motorcycles and the famous brand will be showing the latest models from its revival, focused on the reborn Commando 961. Elsewhere, Krazy Horse motorcycles will exhibit the latest Indian Motorcycle models and one-off rides from the Krazy Horse Custom collection.
Beautifully restored slipper launches from Andrews Boathouses, and classic Riva boats from Ventura, mean the finest yachts will be showcased at Royal Hospital Chelsea – and for those who prefer to take to the skies, Sloane Helicopters and AT Pretium Jet Charter will demonstrate their latest products to guests.
Vibrant artist Anna-Louise Felstead will be attending Salon Privé London. She is a well-known name from the classic car world, and the graduate from Central Saint Matins and the Royal College of Art has been capturing scenes from classic car events for more than 15 years. Described as a reportage artist, her work has been featured in motorsport magazines including Octane – and she is also known for her distinctive ‘naughty’ car scenes!
