Nichols Cars, founded as a partnership between John Minnet and Steve Nichols, aims to create a road car guided by the same principles that defined Nichols’ career in Formula 1: lightweight construction, analogue engineering, and a truly driver-focused experience.

John Minnet has built a successful career across the automotive and motorsport industries, working primarily in marketing and PR roles with prestigious organisations such as Lamborghini and Williams Grand Prix Engineering. This experience ultimately led him to co-found Nichols Cars alongside Steve Nichols.

Steve Nichols is best known as the Chief Designer of the McLaren MP4/4, widely regarded as one of the most successful Formula 1 cars of all time. During the 1988 Formula One World Championship, the car achieved an extraordinary record, winning 15 out of 16 races in the hands of Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost.

Lightweight, analogue, and uncompromising, the Nichols N1A distils an extraordinary motorsport lineage into a pure modern driver’s car. Developed by a team with decades of experience at the highest levels of motorsport, every element of the N1A has been engineered with intent—prioritising driver engagement and performance above all else.
