In 2021, Genesis – already an established brand within Asia and North America – entered the European market; arguably the home of premium and luxury cars. Embodying its unique design language ‘athletic elegance’, the brand has introduced a range of vehicles and services across Europe since its launch.
Since then, Genesis has introduced eight models; with the latest three being fully electric; the GV60, Electrified G80 and the Electrified GV70. 2022 was the year of electrification and now looking forward to 2023 and beyond, Genesis is building the brand for the future. The brand has a clear commitment to becoming an all-electric vehicle brand by 2030, with only EVs launched from 2025, and is pursuing the goal of being carbon net zero by 2035.
Genesis’ electrification journey began in 2022 with the launch of GV60, a bold, high-performance electric model with sleek and athletic crossover styling, followed by Electrified G80 – a modern interpretation of the classic sedan profile with uncompromising style and practicality, further followed by Electrified GV70, which is the ultimate all-rounder when it comes to space, elegance and usability.
Genesis currently has two Studios in London with a third, in Scotland, coming this summer. The Westfield London Studio was the first and opened in the summer of 2021. The second Studio in the UK then opened in October last year, within the iconic Battersea Power Station in London. Finally, due to open in summer 2023, there will be a Genesis studio in the centre of Edinburgh.
